Hillcrest Development Group, LLC, a Denver-based development company, and Pathfinder Partners, LLC, a San Diego-based firm specializing in opportunistic and value-add real estate investments, have completed a $1.6 million renovation and rebranding program at V-Esprit—previously known as the Shalom Park Senior Living Campus—in Aurora, Colo. Pathfinder partnered with Hillcrest to acquire the property at 5240 Shalom Park Circle last year. A series of grand opening events will be held at the community, including a kick-off champagne brunch for residents at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 6 and a public ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9.

V-Esprit is a 100-unit independent living community for active adults aged 55 and up. The property is situated on approximately 14 acres, encompassing 40 detached patio homes and 60 apartment units ranging from 725 to 1,373 square feet.

According to Chris Owens, President of Hillcrest Development, recent renovations to the community include converting four one-bedroom apartment units into a clubhouse and cardroom and refurbishing and modernizing the theater room, library, communal dining area and leasing office. Apartment interiors have been upgraded to include new hard surface countertops, tile backsplashes, hard surface flooring, cabinets and appliances and new finishes, fixtures and paint. All hallways and corridors were refreshed, and the entry way expanded to include new windows, furniture, bar area and outdoor patio space.

Offering the ultimate in maintenance-free living, the community includes miles of walking paths and a range of activities for residents—including a 20,000-square-foot wellness center, state-of-the-art exercise facilities, beauty salon, bistro, swimming pool with lap lanes and jetted seating areas, spa, yoga and other classes, a cocktail bar, theater, library, fireplace/lounge area and bistro. Services include an onsite concierge, housekeeping, life enrichment programs and on- and off-campus transportation.

Additionally, “the property is ideally located in a beautiful, peaceful setting next to Cherry Creek State Park just 15 miles south of downtown Denver,” said Owens.
