CA Senior Living starts construction on 137-unit Atria Westminster in Suburban Denver

Slated to deliver in 2020, community will offer assisted living and memory care residences

Atria Westminster: CA Senior Living has started construction on Atria Westminster, a 137-unit senior living community in Westminster, Colo., offering assisted living and memory care residences.

CA Senior Living LLC, the senior housing investment and development division of Chicago-based CA Ventures, today announced it has begun construction on Atria Westminster, a five-story, 137-unit senior living community located at 9560 Sheridan Blvd. in Westminster, Colo., approximately 10 miles northwest of Denver. The property is expected to open in early 2020.

“Building on the tremendous success of our senior living community in Englewood, which is slated to open in 2019 and marks our entry into the Colorado market, we are excited to bring another top-notch senior living offering to this rapidly growing region,” said Ben Burke, president of CA Senior Living. “With a convenient location just off the Denver-Boulder Turnpike, we expect Atria Westminster to appeal to a wide population of older adults seeking a modern, lifestyle-oriented housing option that provides a full continuum of care.”

When complete, Atria Westminster will offer 107 assisted living apartments, 30 memory care studios, and an attached single-story dining and amenity wing. Assisted living units will range in size from 410-square-foot studios to 970-square-foot two-bedrooms, while memory care studios will range from 275 to 310 square feet. Like all CA Senior Living communities, residents will enjoy high-end finishes throughout, such as stainless steel appliances and fixtures, quartz countertops, tile backsplashes, decorative sconces and recessed lighting, in addition to thoughtfully designed common areas to maximize resident engagement.

Future residents of Atria Westminster will enjoy 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space, including a formal dining room, bistro-style pub, fitness center, theater and various activity rooms. Outdoor amenities will include landscaped courtyards, a walking garden and a community sculpture, while a rooftop lounge will offer views of the Rocky Mountains and adjacent golf course.

Louisville, Ky.-based Atria Senior Living has been retained as the operator for the community. With more than 225 locations across the U.S. and Canada, Atria promotes overall well-being for its residents through a whole-person approach to aging that emphasizes exercise, connection, nutrition and goals. Specially trained caregivers will aid with medication management and activities of daily living such as bathing and grooming, if needed. Residents and families requiring memory care will receive specialized services in the community’s secure and thoughtfully designed Life Guidance® neighborhood. CA Senior Living currently has 22 communities operating or under construction throughout the U.S. Atria Westminster will be the fourth CA Senior Living property operated by Atria Senior Living.
