BIASC announces cutting edge keynote speakers for annual building industry show

The Building Industry Association of Southern California is preparing for its annual Building Industry Show (BIS), completely rebranded for 2018. Under the theme of innovation, thought leaders of the industry and beyond will come together to usher in the next-generation technology and trends of the homebuilding industry.

Distinguished keynote speakers for the event discussing the trending topics of the building industry will be Senior Program Manager of Microsoft Peter Lopez, Senior Manager of Amazon Jay Symonds, infrastructure solutions professional Brigaham McCown, and Today Show special correspondent and former Good Morning America host Joan Lunden.

Lopez is a top program manager at Microsoft, one of the most accomplished tech companies in the industry. Symonds will join him to speak on behalf of Amazon on tech within the home. Both will share the upcoming trends of groundbreaking tech in the homebuilding industry such as the smart home concept implementation.

Also taking the stage will be McCown, a former senior executive at the United States Department of Transportation and current entrepreneur and philanthropist, with a focus on innovative solutions for the nations infrastructure. Lunden, who has led a stellar career covering top stories such as the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana and the inaugurations of three U.S. presidents, will share her insights on being a successful female figure in a male dominated industry.

Industry leaders in building, architecture, construction, design and more will gather for the 2018 BIS taking place Oct. 4, 2018, at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California.

Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIASC) is the voice of the regions building industry, with four chapters offering localized services to building professionals from Ventura to the southern tip of Orange County. Throughout its 90-year history, the association has served its builder and associate members by anticipating, protecting and promoting their common interests through its many programs, services, councils and committees.
