Statement from the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and National Apartment Association (NAA) on the news that HUD Deputy Secretary Pam Patenaude intends to resign, and that FHA Commissioner Brian Montgomery will serve as acting deputy secretary.

Montgomery is a seasoned veteran on the important housing issues facing the nation and we expect to continue our strong, proactive relationship with him, Secretary Carson and the wider HUD team over the coming months and years.”
