Walters, a Barnegat-based developer, has completed Cornerstone At Stafford, a premium age and income-restricted apartment community located at 120 Campbell Blvd. The development adds 100 energy efficient units to the southern Ocean County housing stock.

By combining modern design with creative social programming and cutting-edge sustainable construction, Walters has created an award-winning development. Designed to achieve LEED® and ENERGY STAR® certifications, the building consists of one-bedroom and a limited number of two-bedroom residences. Apartments are still available with prices ranging from $874 to $994 for one bedroom, and from $1,048 to $1,250 for two bedrooms.

“This is a beautiful new building which truly serves the community,” said Joe Del Duca, partner and director of affordable housing for Walters. “It provides a viable housing option for seniors who would like to stay in the area, but might be having trouble finding a place that meets their needs.”

The three-story architectural gem is surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds and is part of the larger Stafford Park development accessible just off of Route 72 and Exit 63 of the Garden State Parkway.

Individual apartments are packed with high-end amenities such as upgraded kitchens with granite countertops and a full appliance package, washer and dryer, wood grain vinyl planking, emergency alarm system and 24/7 on-site management and maintenance. In addition, resident activities and events are offered through a social services coordinator.

Besides offering attractive housing options, Cornerstone At Stafford features gathering areas for socializing, computer use and exercising. The building’s light-filled community room features floor-to-ceiling windows, a full kitchen, a seating area with a large flat-screen TV and access to outdoor grills. The clubhouse amenities are designed to make residents feel like the facilities are extensions of their homes.

An open house will be held at Cornerstone At Stafford on Friday, May 17 from 12 to 3 p.m. The public is invited to tour the community while enjoying light refreshments. Members of the Walters leasing team will be available to answer questions regarding eligibility criteria.

The development is open to adults (55+) who do not make more than 60 percent of the county’s median income. For further information on immediate occupancy, call Cornerstone At Stafford at 609-597-0300.

Walters manages every aspect of a development from design and construction to property management. The developer has several income-restricted housing developments underway throughout New Jersey.
