The Allen Launches Phase One of $500M+ Development


Over 300 guests joined DC Partners at the grand opening of the Residences at The Allen Sales Gallery to officially launch Phase One of the $500 million-plus project, The Allen. The high-end, multi-use development includes the luxury brand Thompson Hotel, The Residences at The Allen, a lifestyle pavilion, which will include one of the nation’s most exclusive fitness clubs, two signature restaurants, luxury retail spaces, and a world-class office building. Situated across six acres at the southeast corner of Allen Parkway and Gillette Street in Houston, the landmark development overlooking the award-winning Buffalo Bayou Park will stand as a crossroads between downtown and the Galleria/Uptown area, and Midtown and the Texas Medical Center offering the best of the city’s outdoor lifestyle with unparalleled views.

The Residences of The Allen will offer unmatched services and full amenities provided by the Thompson Hotel, including 24-hour concierge and room service, a lavish spa, and breathtaking views of the city on the pool deck with cabanas, and restaurants. The helistop will be available to hotel guests and residents and is engineered to accommodate drone deliveries and transportation of the future.

Residents will enjoy a separated private entrance and lobby complete with residents’ valet service, private garages, EV charging station, a resident-only lounge and catering kitchen, executive conference room, and a private changing area on the pool deck. Each condo is equipped to provide a pet relief area with natural grass and irrigation on the patio, as well as a pet washing station in the building.

The newly opened Sales Gallery is a 2,900 SF, free-standing building, built from the ground-up featuring an ultra-modern exterior. Prospective clients at the Residences at The Allen will be able to experience two full-scale modern kitchens, two bathrooms, and a plunge pool that will showcase the beautiful selections of finishes, fixtures and features.

State-of-the-art, live walkthroughs of floorplans using industry leading virtual reality software by Imerza and a 98-inch display wall will allow buyers to be fully immersed in every room of their new home, including selecting specific units with custom finishes and see skyline views from any time of the day. In addition to state-of-art technology, one-of-a-kind 3-D models are being created by Master Lego Builder, Eric Hunter of The Art of LeGogh, including a 7-foot-tall Lego architectural model of the development.

Pre-sales for the Residences at The Allen have officially begun. The 99 units will consist of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom condos, as well as 17 thoughtfully designed penthouses range from 919 SF- 10,000 SF. Construction on the lifestyle pavilion will begin at the end of Summer 2019. Construction of the hotel-condo tower will follow.

The Allen is developed by DC Partners, with investment from Tianqing Real Estate Development and Westmont Hospitality Group. Site plan and architecture led by HOK, interiors for the hotel and residences at The Allen by Abel Design Group. Houston-based GT Leach will serve as General Contractor for the hotel, condo and lifestyle pavilion development.

Carlo M. Di Nunzio, of Houston-based Di NUNZIO Architecture lead the design of the sales gallery, and Latitude Construction served as general contractor. Interiors were exclusively designed by Houston’s Abel Design Group with furnishings provided by BeDesign.
