Cityview, a vertically integrated real estate investment management firm focused on multifamily and mixed-use real estate in the Western U.S., today announced the addition of Kyle Naye as the firm’s senior director of acquisitions. With more than 13 years of experience in the acquisition and financing of commercial real estate assets, Naye will help Cityview expand its investment strategy, support its strategic growth and grow its deal pipeline, with a primary focus on Seattle; Portland, Oregon; Denver; Phoenix; Salt Lake City; Dallas; Austin, Texas and other non-California markets across the Western U.S.
As senior director of acquisitions, Naye will manage acquisitions, including sourcing, underwriting, closing and developing comprehensive business plans for investors, and work closely with the Cityview team to manage and expand strategic acquisitions across the firm’s vertically integrated platform. Naye will leverage his extensive resources to enhance Cityview’s pipeline of value-add and development opportunities that represent an attractive risk-adjusted return for the firm and its investors.
“Bringing a wealth of knowledge from his extensive experience at other institutional investment management companies, Kyle is ideally suited to help Cityview continue to source quality deals, grow our portfolio and deliver for our investors,” Sean Burton, CEO of Cityview. “We look forward to his contributions as we continue to focus significantly on acquisitions and expanding the team to support the company’s strategic growth plan.”
Prior to joining Cityview, Naye was a vice president of originations at PGIM Real Estate, where he provided transactions and underwriting oversight for core-plus and high-yield debt vehicles. He also held a prior role at PGIM managing the underwriting, investment committee preparation and closing of $992 million in multifamily, retail and office assets across the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest. At earlier stages of his career, Naye was a senior associate of acquisitions at Clarion Partners, senior real estate analyst at Northmarq and an officer in the United States Navy.
“I am looking forward to leveraging my longstanding industry relationships to help expand Cityview’s footprint in the multifamily space,” said Naye. “Cityview’s stellar reputation over its nearly 20 years in business, along with its ambitious growth plans, make it a leader in the industry. I am honored to be joining such a respected, innovative and dynamic team.”
Naye earned a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University with majors in real estate and finance, and a bachelor’s degree in information systems from University of Colorado. A native English speaker, he is fluent in French and German and speaks conversational Spanish. Additionally, he is founder of the Global Real Estate Dealmakers podcast.
To further support the acquisitions group, including Naye and Tony Cardoza, managing director of acquisitions, Cityview has continued to expand its associate and analyst resources, including making two additional hires this month.
