The National Apartment Association (NAA) was honored to represent the rental housing industry at a White House event highlighting Operation Allies Welcome, a nationwide effort to safely welcome Afghan allies and Afghans at risk.
“The Afghan allies and families arriving to our nation played a critical role supporting our troops over the last 20 years, and it is our honor and responsibility to help ensure they are settled and feel welcome in their new homes,” said Bob Pinnegar, NAA President and CEO. “NAA is prepared to have substantive conversations to not only ensure these families have access to housing, but also ensure the program fits into the industry’s unique operational structure. We thank the Biden administration for including the rental housing provider perspective and look forward to working together on this important initiative.”
NAA represented the rental housing industry at the Biden administration’s request and will continue to support this critical resettlement effort. By harnessing the power of 149 affiliated apartment associations and working directly with the largest property management firms in the industry, NAA will reach tens of thousands of individual apartment owners and operators to share information and encourage participation. As the voice of the apartment industry, NAA is prepared to bring industry leaders together to share best practices to increase housing provider participation and strengthen resettlement efforts.
