Chicago Multifamily Veteran Jack Devedjian Joins Marquette Management as Director of Capital Projects and Facilities

Marquette Companies, a national leader in multifamily development, investment and management, announces that Jack Devedjian has joined Marquette Management as director of capital projects and facilities. In his new role, Devedjian will oversee capital programs and construction projects as a member of the firm’s leadership team.

“Jack brings his expertise as an engineer with more than three decades of experience in facilities and capital management to Marquette, and we’re thrilled to have him in the critical roles of leading all our value-add projects, consulting with the development team and providing strategic leadership to our maintenance teams,” said Marquette Management Chief Operating Officer Jim Cunningham. “His strong foundation in overseeing capital development and construction projects, as well as his depth of knowledge and experience in engineering and many aspects of facilities management will enable him to have an impact on our business right away.”

Most recently, Devedjian served as vice president of facilities management and engineering at Chicago-based Habitat, where he directed and managed long-term capital projects averaging $30 to $40 million annually. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of real estate development at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, where he successfully implemented several cost-saving initiatives and oversaw multiple development and expansion projects. Other past positions include vice president of facilities and engineering at The Tribune Company and managing the facilities for S&C Electric Company.

Jack Devedjian earned a Master of Science in Construction/Project Management from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois-Chicago. He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois.
