TruAmerica Multifamily Adds Alexis Sofyanos to Investor Relations Team

Based in Chicago, she brings nearly a decade of valuable experience in the multifamily industry involving capital markets, financial analysis, and strategy, encompassing key roles at Freddie Mac Multifamily and Esusu Financial, a leading rent reporting and financial wellness platform.

TruAmerica Multifamily, a national, institutionally-focused multifamily investment firm, announced that Alexis Sofyanos joined the firm as Director, Investor Relations.

Alexis Sofyanos’ background includes experience in relationship management with multifamily owners, operators, investors, debt capital providers, and regulators. In addition to her experience in multifamily capital markets, Sofyanos was responsible for developing and integrating ESG strategy both internally at Freddie Mac and externally for Esusu Financial’s client base. This new role will leverage her unique background as she assists with TruAmerica’s capital markets, client management, marketing and ESG efforts.

Prior to joining TruAmerica, Sofyanos most recently served as vice president at Esusu Financial since May of 2022. She oversaw the company’s revenue and business development efforts with a focus on scaling Esusu’s ESG strategies to maximize both social impact and return on investment for multifamily owners, operators, and investors.

Prior to joining Esusu Financial, Sofyanos launched her multifamily career at Freddie Mac on the Production and Sales team. She and her team were for responsible for $12-17 billion in annual loan volume across the Midwest and Texas markets from 2014-2020. Her latest role at Freddie Mac was Senior Director of Equitable Housing where she was responsible for spearheading more innovative, scalable ESG impact solutions at both the individual loan level and aggregate bond level.

Sofyanos earned a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin’s School of Business, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting from the University of Wisconsin. As a Certified Public Accountant, she launched her career as an external auditor at Deloitte & Touche.
