Directed by a renowned architecture team of Beyer Blinder Belle, with interior design by Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture and construction by Suffolk Construction, The Brook will include 591 rental residences with 30,000 square feet of residential amenities and 21,000 square feet of retail space. Move-ins are expected in second half of 2025.

Witkoff and Apollo Commercial Real Estate Finance, Inc. (NYSE:ARI), a publicly traded mortgage REIT managed by an affiliate of Apollo Global Management, announced that The Brook, the luxury rental property at 589 Fulton Street, topped out at 601 feet in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn.

The Brook is an exciting new addition to the Brooklyn skyline, serving as the sixth tallest building in Brooklyn upon completion, which is slated for 2025. Beyer Blinder Belle took inspiration from historic Brooklyn architecture’s color palettes and proportions to complement the city using a curtain wall system that blends champagne and bronze metal panels, and a façade composed of white and brass paneling.

“We are excited to celebrate the topping out of The Brook. As Downtown Brooklyn continues to evolve, The Brook will be front and center for our future residents who value this location and the incredible design and amenities that will be available to them,” said Scott Alper, President & Chief Investment Officer of Witkoff.

“It’s always a privilege to see the building and the façade come to life with a building’s topping out,” said Carlos J. Cardoso, partner of Beyer Blinder Belle. “We wanted a design that complemented the whole borough of Brooklyn and harmonized with its surroundings. We are very proud of the outcome, and we’re excited for the building’s ultimate completion.”

The 52-story tower will feature 591 rental units, with 30% reserved for affordable housing. Residents will have access to 30,000 square feet of amenities that include an outdoor pool and basketball court, resident lounges and co-working spaces, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a library, communal terraces, outdoor playground, and dog run.
