The third and final phase of The Jefferson in Uptown Hackensack has achieved full lease-up, according to developer Garden Communities.
One of the largest new-construction offerings in its revitalized city, the community includes 377 luxury rental residences featuring oversized layouts, resort-style indoor and outdoor amenities, and a commuter-friendly address with a host of neighborhood conveniences.
The Jefferson currently offers limited availability overall, with minimal turnover as leases in the first two phases begin to reach term.
“This simply is an outstanding location – close to all major highways, trains and buses to New York City,” said Garden Communities’ Tammy Male, regional director, noting the property’s abundance of gated onsite parking has been a real draw. “But beyond the practical, The Jefferson has a true community atmosphere – it’s a very happy building. You enter and are greeted by our concierge team, and at any given time you will see staff members working to keep the building immaculate and helping residents with anything they need.”
Garden Communities’ amenities choices for The Jefferson have been a huge success. “They are in constant use; our abundant fitness center, regulation-size bowling alley and golf simulator are really popular,” Male said. “There are always people in our complementary coffee bar to start the day, and relaxing or reading in quiet nooks throughout the building. With summer in full swing, I love walking by and seeing residents out swimming, sunbathing and grilling – and getting together after work or on weekends by the firepits to hang out. It’s the comfort of home.”
Located at 2 Kinderkamack Road, The Jefferson was designed by Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners. The community’s elegance is punctuated by a welcoming double-height lobby with a fireplace. Residents of its modern one- and two-bedroom apartments enjoy oversize windows, dramatic living spaces, gourmet center-island kitchens, private balconies in almost every apartment, and an array of high-end features.
“We had a tremendous response to our marketing,” said Laura Kosik, public relations and marketing executive for Garden Communities. “In a highly competitive market, The Jefferson attracted renters from all over Bergen County, not just for its resort-style amenities, but because of its incredibly desirable location in uptown Hackensack. Literally just minutes from multiple transit options, The Jefferson was clearly the right product in the right place.”
