Leasing is underway at The Martin, a new 479-unit, apartment community in downtown Sunnyvale, California. The 12-story project, a development of Sares Regis Group of Northern California (SRGNC), is located at 240 S. Taaffe Street, south of Central Expwy and east of Mathilda Avenue. It was designed by Heller Manus.
Nearby, The Flats and Flats West, two apartment communities that SRGNC delivered in 2018 and 2020, are fully occupied. The Martin’s new apartments will complement these two top-performing developments.
The Martin’s on-site amenities include a pool and spa, club room, two state-of-the-art fitness centers, a sky lounge on the 11th floor with panoramic views, a 3k sf rooftop deck with outdoor BBQs, a pet spa, bike storage, and more. A new innovative co-working space for residents will also be off the main lobby.
The Martin is seeking LEED® certification and features all-electric, high-efficiency homes with stainless steel appliances, as well as contemporary cabinets with quartz countertops, ceramic tile bathtubs and showers, in-unit washers and dryers, central air-conditioning. The new residences will offer wall-to-wall wood-plank flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies, and patios – most with stunning views.
Cityline’s development team is a joint venture between SRGNC and Hunter Partners. The team has already completed hundreds of new apartments and thousands of square feet of newly leased retail spaces—all within walking distance of Caltrain. SRGNC is the primary residential developer, and Hunter Partners is the primary commercial developer. With the combined vision of SRGNC and Hunter Partners, Cityline offers an amenity-rich shopping district with new office buildings steps from Caltrain and the opportunity to work in a walkable downtown location in the heart of Silicon Valley.
When completed, the Cityline project will encompass 1,100 new apartments, 1 msf of office space, and more than 500k sf of retail.
