Related Urban, the affordable arm of leading multifamily developer Related Group, together with Miami-Dade County, are set to celebrate the grand opening for the second phase of the Lincoln Gardens master redevelopment project on Thursday, September 26th at 10 AM.
In addition to housing, a significant highlight of this initiative is Related Urban’s $3 million contribution to the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Department for enhancements to Marva Y. Bannerman Park. This investment represents a transformative commitment to community improvement in Brownsville, unprecedented in this area.
“The completion of Lincoln Gardens phase two represents another proud milestone in Related’s Group’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional living options for Miami-Dade County’s residents,” said Albert Milo Jr., President of Related Urban. “With thoughtfully designed homes, modern amenities, and accessibility features, we ensure that our elderly neighbors live comfortably and securely. This development is just one part of our broader vision to revitalize Lincoln Gardens and uplift the entire community with excellence in every aspect.”
Lincoln Gardens is designed with both comfort and functionality in mind, offering a range of features that enhance everyday living. Each unit is equipped with ADA and UFAS accessibility, ensuring that residents can enjoy their homes with ease. Inside are modern conveniences like digital thermostats, energy-efficient appliances, central air conditioning, and impact-resistant doors and windows that provide safety and comfort. Residents will also have in-unit washers and dryers, microwave ovens, and in-sink garbage disposals for ultimate convenience.
Related Urban has also partnered with several community-focused community service providers to assist with programming at Lincoln Gardens, including the Lighthouse Angels Senior Program, the Lashawntay T. Howard Youth Offender Center and the Tiandre Treasure Chest Training Program. These initiatives aim to rebuild and empower the community, with support extending to youth summer camps, scholarships for higher education, and certified curriculum in partnership with Miami Dade College to create professional development opportunities. Related Urban also utilized minority contractors, including CMS International Group, LCN, and Brigcon, who have been integral to their redevelopment efforts throughout Miami-Dade County.
