High Street Residential (HSR), the residential subsidiary of Trammell Crow Company, has broken ground on a three-story, 419-unit Class A multifamily community in Hawes Crossing, a 1,100-acre master-planned community in Mesa, Arizona.
The project is located on the Mesa-Gilbert border with Elliot Road frontage and direct access to the Loop 202 Freeway. Paying homage to its native land use, the project’s design features a modern farmhouse aesthetic accented with elements of brick and board & batten along with contemporary farmhouse finishes. Units will range in size from one- to three bedrooms with select units featuring tuck-under garages. Unit amenities will include hard surface, wood-like plank flooring, custom cabinets, quartz countertops, tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, tile shower and tub surrounds and vanities with quartz counters and framed mirrors.
The 18-acre community will consist of 14 buildings and will include premium, top-of-market amenities such as a membership-quality fitness center with a gym, sauna, cold plunge & Zen garden, spacious work-from-home areas, and a 2,000-square foot entertainment lounge that opens to a large courtyard. The courtyard boasts a resort-style swimming pool and spa, festoon lighting, and a covered grill lounge. Additional amenities include pickle ball courts, private dining, leasing lobby, package room, pet spa & park, children’s play area, and connectivity to the Hawes Crossing trail system.
“Our development at Hawes Crossing will offer new residents high-quality housing, ideally situated near expanding retail amenities and employment opportunities. We are thrilled to contribute to the tremendous growth happening in the Southeast Valley and look forward to welcoming new residents in 2026,” said Nate Stum, Senior Vice President of HSR’s Phoenix office.
Some of the retail offerings already in place near Hawes Crossing include Gilbert Gateway Town Center, SanTan Village Marketplace, and SanTan Village Mall. Residents will also be minutes from major thoroughfares like State Highway 60 and the 202 SanTan Freeway, providing easy access to employment centers throughout the Valley.
