Dominium, a leading affordable housing owner, developer and manager is proud to announce that Senior Managing Partner Paul Sween is being inducted into the Affordable Housing Finance Hall of Fame.
Sween’s induction highlights his unwavering dedication and vision that have not only shaped Dominium but have also made a lasting impact across the entire affordable housing industry.
“When the children of our residents get off the school bus, we want them to be very proud of the place they come home to everyday,” Paul Sween said, outlining why many of Dominium’s family properties have a school bus stop. “In effect, we want the other students to say, ‘I wish I lived there.’”
Sween serves on the board of Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC) of America, a national nonprofit that builds economic pathways for people through no-cost workforce training. He is also capital campaign co-chair for CommonBond Communities, a Minnesota-based affordable housing nonprofit. In addition, Sween has been active in several other organizations, including the Minnesota Housing Partnership, a longtime nonprofit that advocates for equitable housing policy and provides community development services.
A committed, lifelong learner, Sween is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Sween will be recognized at the AHF Magazine Awards Ceremony during the AHF Live conference. Every year, AHF recognizes five industry veterans for their lasting contributions towards the development of innovative communities and the creation of new programs.
