The Simon Anderson apartment brokerage team at Kidder Mathews has expanded with the addition of Vice President Elijah Piper and Associate Tony Herrmann.

While the team is based in Seattle, Elijah Piper and Tony Herrmann will operate from Kidder Mathews’ Tacoma office, focusing on the sale of 10-100-unit apartment properties in Pierce County. Prior to First Western, Piper began his career at Marcus & Millichap on a top-producing team that averaged over $150 million in annual transaction volume.

Led by Executive Vice Presidents Dylan Simon and Jerrid Anderson, the Simon Anderson team has completed more than $2 billion in apartment sales, totaling over 13,500 units across 231 transactions. With the addition of Piper and Herrmann, the team now consists of 13 professionals — including eight brokers, a financial analyst, two executive assistants, and two dedicated marketing coordinators.

“This is an incredible opportunity to elevate the service I provide to clients,” said Piper. “The team’s track record in Seattle and King County speaks for itself, and I look forward to expanding the market domination to Tacoma and Pierce County.”

“Seattle’s multifamily market is settling into a new rhythm, and investors are finding their footing again,” said Simon. “Growing our team and the geography we service will allow us to serve clients in every market they own.”

According to the team’s latest Q4 2024 Puget Sound Multifamily Market Report, transaction volume is rebounding significantly, with sales reaching $983 million in Q3 2024, an 83% increase year-over-year. Vacancy rates remain steady at 7%, and with new development slowing due to high interest rates and construction costs, market fundamentals point to tightening supply and continued investment opportunities.

The apartment brokerage team led by Dylan Simon and Jerrid Anderson of Kidder Mathews represents apartment investors, developers, and landowners in the sale and purchase of apartment buildings and development land across the entire State of Washington. The team of 13 brokerage professionals specializes in the sale and purchasing of apartment buildings and development land from $1 million to more than $100 million.
