AHSC and Peabody Companies Open Lottery for Senior Affordable Housing Community Walnut Knoll in Foxborough

A public information session and presentation about Walnut Knoll will take place on April 1 at 4 p.m. at the Foxborough Senior Center, located at 76 Central Street. The lottery date is yet to be determined. Details will follow at a later date.

The Walnut Street Joint Venture, comprised of Affordable Housing and Services Collaborative, Inc. (AHSC), a nonprofit organization that owns and develops affordable rental communities, the Peabody Companies, one of the preeminent property management and development companies in the affordable housing industry, and Onyx Group Development, a certified Women & Minority Business Enterprise (W/MBE) real estate firm with a passion for affordable housing, announces that applications will be accepted beginning March 3rd for Walnut Knoll, a new 141-unit affordable housing community for persons aged 55 and older, located at 55 Walnut Street at the corner of Route 140 in Foxborough, Massachusetts. There is a local preference for those that currently live or work in Foxborough.

The Walnut Knoll community is located off of Route 140 in Foxboro. The campus consists of two buildings, featuring 141 one-bedroom, one-bath apartment homes.  (Building 1 is slated to open in September has 61 apartment homes; Building 2 will open in November with 80 homes.)  Apartment amenities include large walk-in showers, oversized closets, fully applianced kitchens, quartz countertops, Shaker cabinets, high-speed internet and cable readiness, vinyl plank flooring throughout, and all utilities included.  Community conveniences include laundry facilities in each building, outdoor grilling stations, a pickleball court, a fire pit with lounge area, a community room, a meeting room, a fitness center, a community garden, resident service programs and activities, and professional on-site management with 24-hour emergency maintenance.
