EAH Housing Begins Construction for Marigold West

EAH Housing, one of the largest and most respected nonprofit housing development and management organizations in the Western United States, in partnership with the St. Joseph Center, announced it has started construction for Marigold West, a 50-unit affordable housing community for residents 62+ in Los Angeles County.

Located at 1041 North Martel Avenue, Marigold West will offer permanent supportive housing via 12 studio apartments ranging in size from 344 to 383 square feet, 35 one-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 517 to 648 square feet, and three 825- to 966-square-foot two-bedroom apartments. All apartments feature energy-efficient appliances, window coverings, and walk-in closets. The five-story, 47,472-square-foot community will serve residents 62 years of age and older, with 25 units dedicated to individuals experiencing or at-risk-of-homelessness.

Designed by KFA Architecture and constructed by United Building Company (UBC), Marigold West will offer a range of indoor and outdoor amenities. Highlights include a community center with a multipurpose room, common area lounge, property management offices, onsite laundry, a landscaped outdoor podium deck with seating areas, and a secondary amenity deck with room for passive recreation and events. 19 subterranean parking spaces will also be available for residents and staff.

This development gives residents the foundational resources needed for a bright future while strengthening the fabric that makes West Hollywood a vibrant community.”Marigold West is located just one block from Santa Monica Boulevard, where it will fit seamlessly within the surrounding density and scale. Through the St. Joseph Center, a multifaceted social service organization offering outreach and engagement, housing, mental health, education, and vocational programs, residents will have access to wellness programs and services and a dedicated Resource Coordinator. EAH Housing will manage the property.
