The Davis Companies (Davis) recently celebrated breaking ground on the construction of a new luxury multifamily rental building at 1975 Madison Avenue in Central Harlem, New York.

Upon completion, the eight-story, mixed-use building will deliver 97 apartments, including 30 affordable units, with ground floor space devoted to benefit Harlem residents and the community.

1975 Madison will offer a variety of 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom layouts suited with best-in-class amenities. Residents will have access to a fitness center, meditation courtyard, bike room, pet spa, co-working space, residents’ lounge, and garage parking. The building will also have an expansive rooftop with skyline views complete with multiple grilling stations, lounge areas, and private greenspace.

The site is in proximity to a wide array of public transit options, providing easy access to Midtown and Downtown Manhattan, Penn Station, Grand Central Station, and more. In a neighborhood seeing robust demand, the project will create new housing opportunities for residents seeking accommodation in a section of New York City which is undergoing exciting transformation and development activity.

“Situated in the dynamic and growing submarket of Central Harlem, 1975 Madison will provide an accessible, more affordable space for those who want to live in a bustling neighborhood, only minutes away from all the city has to offer,” said Bryan Rubin, Senior Vice President of Investments at Davis. “We are excited to see this development come to fruition as we grow our portfolio in New York and seek to deliver exceptional projects to the area.”
