High Street Residential has delivered the Rone Residences, a multifamily community near Houston’s River Oaks/Upper Kirby neighborhood. Residents have already begun to move into the luxury apartment community.
Rone Residences is located at 2311 Westheimer Road and features 209 apartments and approximately 2,900 square feet of retail. The complex offers four levels of parking, a 24/7 concierge desk, fitness center, tenant lounge, dog run, and outdoor pool with a cold plunge and hot tub. Apartment layouts range in size from approximately 890 square feet to 2,200 square feet.
Hoar served as the general contractor on the project. The team used an AI-powered drone to scan the entire fourth floor for quality assurance.
Hoar’s Houston Division has worked on several multifamily projects in the market, including the X Houston in the Museum District; The Lane, a seven-story apartment complex in The Woodlands; and Novel River Oaks, a community in the River Oaks neighborhood.

Still Houston’s ultimate address after nearly a century, River Oaks spans 1,100 beautifully wooded acres along Buffalo Bayou, just a few minutes’ drive from downtown along scenic Allen Parkway. Ranked as Houston’s most expensive neighborhood and among the nation’s top 10 wealthiest communities, it’s home to the exclusive River Oaks Country Club. Property values are estimated to range from $1 million to over $20 million – a far cry from the $2,200 price for lots when River Oaks opened in the late 1920s.
River Oaks opens its doors – or at least its garden gates – to the rest of the city for the annual Azalea Trail tour, and it is home to the Museum of Fine Arts Rienzi and Bayou Bend House museums. The neighborhood also lends its name to the popular upscale Shopping Center along West Gray.
One of the ways the city resembles the rest of Houston is that, despite the stately architecture of its grand old homes, it has not escaped the teardown-and-rebuild movement that is widespread across the city.
