The community, known as Liberty Village, is located along an emerging town center at the intersection of West Hanover Avenue and Sussex Turnpike in the heart of Morris County.

A joint venture between CrownPoint Group Inc. and Crossroads Companies has broken ground on a townhouse-style apartment development to be named Liberty Village located in Randolph, New Jersey, which will feature 125 luxury homes.

CrownPoint and Crossroads have been working on the transformation of the 14.5-acre development site since late 2023. The approved plans allow for the development of 11 residential buildings that will provide a unique neighborhood feel to future residents, and will complement the character of the surrounding community. The project will include 100 market-rate homes and 25 age-restricted affordable apartments, all of which include luxury appointments. The majority of units at Liberty Village feature bi-level living, coffered ceilings in primary bedrooms and open-concept designs with high-end finishes, as well as private-entrance garages which will offer many residents direct access to their homes.

“We are incredibly proud to break ground on this landmark townhome rental community. At a time when most rental options are limited to traditional apartment living, we are delivering something truly unique—spacious townhomes that combine the privacy, comfort, and character of a single-family home with the convenience and flexibility of modern rental living,” said CrownPoint Group Vice President Michael Legacki. “With demand for high-quality housing in at an all-time high, this project represents an exciting development for residents who want the best of both worlds.”

Designed by Comito Associates, Liberty Village will also offer its residents a robust amenity package. The community’s focal point is an architecturally distinct clubhouse with several high-end community spaces, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, multiple social lounges, a golf simulator, a dedicated kids’ playroom, and a business center with work pods and meeting areas. The community is pet-friendly and will also offer an outdoor dog run and an indoor pet spa.

“This marks our second collaboration together, and we see it as a unique chance to bring a townhouse-style product into an underserved market eager for new, high-quality rental options”, said Anthony Vulpi, Development Partner at Crossroads Companies.

Liberty Village represents the second multifamily development project between CrownPoint and Crossroads in the past few years. The partnership previously obtained approvals and financing for the development of 90 luxury apartments in Dover, which is currently under construction and slated for delivery in 2026.

The partnership has secured construction financing for Liberty Village from Berkshire Bank, and raised the project equity through their network of private investors. Crossroads will also serve as the project’s construction manager, in a collaboration with Solano Management.

Liberty Village’s central location in Morris County provides easy access to major highways, including Route 10, Route 46 and Interstates 287 and 80. The community is also is minutes from the NJ Transit Stations in Morristown and Dover. Randolph is approximately 30 miles from New York City and is immediately adjacent to the municipalities of Morris Plains, Dover, Rockaway and Mendham.
