Designed by Dwell Design with Landmark Construction serving as general contractor, The Standard at Four Corners opened to residents on August 15, 2025.

Landmark Properties, a fully-integrated real estate firm specializing in the development, construction, acquisition, investment management, and operation of high-quality residential communities, in a joint venture with Manulife Investment Management (Manulife IM), has launched The Standard at Four Corners, a new 890-bed student housing community at 1725 Storrs Road in Storrs, Connecticut.

“We’re excited to see our initial project with Manulife Investment Management come to fruition and deliver The Standard at Four Corners,” said Jason Doornbos, Chief Development Officer at Landmark Properties. “We celebrate the launch of our first property in Connecticut by congratulating the Landmark Construction team and key project partners who worked hard to deliver The Standard at Four Corners ahead of the academic year.”

The Standard is the first purpose-built student apartment community serving the UConn student population in the last decade. Further, the project is the only amenity-rich and all-inclusive offering for students in the market, including fully furnished units, high-speed internet and professional on-site management.

The community boasts unique amenities not found elsewhere in the market including a resort-style pool and hot tub, a Jumbotron lawn, fitness center, resident clubroom, 24-hour study lounges, gaming lounge, and firepit and grilling areas. For residents with vehicles, a deck offers parking for an additional fee. The development also features 14,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

The Standard at Four Corners offers 392 units in a variety of floorplans ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments. In addition to being fully furnished and wired for high-speed internet and cable, each unit features a gourmet-style kitchen with ample cabinet space, quartz countertops and stainless-steel appliances, in-unit laundry, and hardwood-style flooring. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, and select units have balconies.

“We are proud to have partnered with Landmark on the first purpose-built student community at UConn in over a decade,“ said Jonathan Kimball, Associate Director at Manulife Investment Management. “We also want to recognize the hard work of their development and construction teams on the Standard at Four Corners.”

The Standard at Four Corners is the realization of Landmark’s first project with Manulife IM. The JV has also partnered on The Mark Knoxville and The Mark Tallahassee, both which will deliver this year; and The Standard at West Lafayette near Purdue University, which started construction in April 2025.
