EAH Housing, one of the largest and most respected nonprofit housing organizations in the western United States, announced it will serve as the property management company for Aloe Palm Canyon, a new affordable housing community in Palm Springs.
Developed by West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation (WHCHC), Aloe Palm Canyon provides 71 one-bedroom rental apartments for seniors aged 55 and older, with 25 units reserved as permanent supportive housing for individuals who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness.
“We are thrilled to be welcoming our residents at our first affordable apartment community in Palm Springs,” said Jesse Slansky, WHCHC President & CEO. “A big thank you to our neighbors, supporters, and partners in the greater Palm Springs community who have been committed to this much-needed housing from day one,” he continued.
“Affordable housing is essential to the economic vitality and health of every community, and Aloe Palm Canyon is a shining example of what’s possible when mission-driven partners come together,” said Laura Hall, President and CEO of EAH Housing. “We are proud to bring our decades of property management expertise to ensure that residents have a safe, affordable place to live and thrive.”
The two-story development, located on North Palm Canyon Drive, is designed with resident wellness and community-building in mind. Amenities will include a community room with a demonstration kitchen, fitness center, computer room/library, laundry facility, and outdoor gathering spaces. The property will also feature three dedicated offices for onsite supportive services, ensuring residents have access to vital resources right where they live.
Each apartment will include modern features, such as oversized windows, private balconies, vaulted ceilings, and energy-efficient appliances. Rents will be affordable to households earning between 20% and 80% of the area median income (AMI).
With Aloe Palm Canyon, WHCHC and EAH Housing are advancing a shared mission: expanding access to affordable housing and creating supportive communities where vulnerable residents can live with dignity and stability.
