JLL Capital Markets announced that it has appointed Senior Managing Director Chris Gandy to lead its Salt Lake City Capital Markets team. Gandy will oversee the investment sales and debt and equity advisory platforms throughout the region and will directly report to Jody Thornton, President of JLL Capital Markets for the Americas.
“We are pleased to see Chris join our leadership team as he assumes the responsibilities of Office Head in our Salt Lake City Capital Markets business,” said Thornton. “This is well deserved after many years as a prolific producer in our San Francisco office, and we look forward to significantly growing this business in the years to come.”
Gandy brings a total of 15 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. Before his recent move to Salt Lake City, Gandy spent the last 13 years at JLL/HFF in the San Francisco office, where he was primarily responsible for originating debt and equity transactions across all property types throughout the western United States. He has completed more than $12 billion in transactions throughout his career. Additionally, Gandy is a Board Member of Housing Industry Fund and the Silicon Valley chapter of NAIOP, as well as an active member of Mortgage Bankers Association.
“I am excited and humbled by the opportunity to lead the JLL capital markets team in one of the fastest growing markets in the country,” said Gandy. “We look forward to providing excellent commercial real estate investment advisory services for our clients and capital partners that are transacting within the Salt Lake and Intermountain West regions.”
Gandy will work alongside Senior Director Phil Brierley and Director Cole Macadaeg, who currently focus on investment sales in the region.
