Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH), the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA), and Fairfax County officials celebrated the opening of Ilda’s Overlook Senior Residences in Fairfax, Virginia providing 80 affordable homes for seniors aged 62 and above.
Coming winter 2024, the thoughtfully designed 1 and 2-bedroom layouts feature modern kitchens and spacious closets. Apartments range in size from 600 to 1,000 square feet. Residents experience a host of community amenities, including a fitness center, multipurpose room, shuttle service, in-unit washers and dryers, free Wi-Fi, community spaces, and gardens. The community is pet-friendly.
The project was financed with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), loans from Virginia’s Department of Housing and Community Development, and partnerships with Truist, PNC Bank, and the Federal Home Loan Bank.
Located conveniently near multiple shopping and health centers, Ilda’s Overlook offers a quaint suburban setting with easy access to nearby attractions.
Built in partnership with Erickson Senior Living, the community supports Fairfax County’s goal of creating 10,000 affordable housing units by 2034.
