This highly anticipated project, spanning over 46.7 acres, will bring 192 three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom rental townhome units to one of the most sought-after areas east of the Cooper River.

TBC Development and Batson-Cook Development Co. [BCDC] have broken ground on Berkshire on Clements Ferry, a premier rental townhome community in the Point Hope Master Planned Community in metro Charleston, South Carolina.

“We are thrilled to partner with TBC Development on the Berkshire on Clements Ferry project,” said Litt Glover, CEO of BCDC. “This joint venture represents a unique opportunity to bring much-needed townhomes to a market eager for this product. Working together, we are confident that Berkshire on Clements Ferry will set a new standard for residential communities in the area.”

“We are incredibly excited to be working alongside BCDC on this transformative project,” said Tony Berry, Principal of TBC Development. “The synergy between our teams has been remarkable, and we believe Berkshire on Clements Ferry will offer an exceptional living experience.”

Berkshire on Clements Ferry is set to redefine low-density living. The project uses only 15.5 acres of the site to maintain a neighborhood residential feel. The community will consist of thirty-six three-story buildings thoughtfully arranged in six residential pods, enhancing the sense of privacy and space for future residents.

The development will offer a market-leading amenity package, including a community playground, swimming pool with cabana, hammock stations, a pavilion with grilling stations, a dog park, private fenced puppy yards on select units and bike and walking trails throughout the property.

Strategically located in Berkeley County on Clements Ferry, it will provide residents unparalleled access to the newly-constructed Philip Simmons school system, featuring direct bike and walking trails connecting the elementary, middle and high schools.

Additionally, the community is within walking and biking distance to Point Hope Commons, a 90,000-square-foot center anchored by Publix and offering a variety of businesses and retail conveniences, including dining options, medical offices, a dry cleaner, and a liquor store.

United Community Bank and Georgia Banking Company are the project’s lending partners, with the construction team featuring general contractors L. Dean Weaver and Center Park Group, civil engineer Thomas and Hutton and architect Vinyet Architecture.
