Chicago-based Evergreen Real Estate Group assumes management of more than 1,300 affordable housing community units — including homes for low-income seniors — in Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Chicago-based Evergreen Real Estate Group, a leader in the acquisition, development, rehabilitation and management of both affordable and market-rate multifamily housing, announced it has been retained to manage 12 multifamily communities comprising a total of 1,301 units in Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington, D.C. The assignments include affordable residences for families, seniors and disabled individuals, expanding Evergreen’s national management portfolio to more than 13,400 units.

The new management assignments include the following properties
• Bellwood Senior Apartments – 80-unit new-construction affordable senior housing
• Ewing Square Townhomes – 23-unit affordable housing in Minneapolis Minnesota
• Mississippi View – 96-unit affordable housing community in Coon Rapids Ohio
• Page Tower – 169-unit affordable housing community in Cincinnati Ohio
• Autumn Brook Apartments – 150-unit affordable housing in Greensburg Tennessee
• Colony Square Apartments – 80-unit affordable housing in Smyrna Tennesse
• Hickory Hollow Towers – 154-unit affordable senior housing in Antioch Virginia
• The Grove at Flynn’s Crossing – 168-unit affordable housing in Ashburn Virgina
• Mallside Forest Apartments – 160-unit affordable housing in Charlottesville Virginia
• Massanutten Manor Apartments – 116-unit affordable senior housing in Virginia
• Glenn Arms Apartments – 57-unit affordable housing in Washington D.C.
• Hedin House Apartments – 48-unit affordable housing in Washington D.C.
These communities comprise a mix of both family and senior housing developments that include third-party fee management assignments as well as affiliated acquisitions. In addition, one property is the newly constructed Bellwood Senior Apartments, an 80-unit independent living community developed by Evergreen.
