Located just south of Division Street at N. LaSalle Drive, The Oliver at LaSalle sits next to two late 19th-century historic churches, LaSalle Street Church, which is next door, and Church of the Ascension, directly across the street.

RMK Management Corp., one of the Midwest’s largest market-rate apartment management firms, has been named property manager of The Oliver on LaSalle, a 249-unit vintage luxury rental building at 1140 N. LaSalle Drive in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood.

Built in 1924, the eight-story building primarily offers micro units, including studio and one-bedroom floor plans. The property’s common areas, amenity spaces and apartments recently were updated and renovated, while its lobby retains some of the building’s original design elements, including a marble entry, tile patterned floor and ornate ceiling relief.

“The Oliver is a charming vintage rental community in a prime Old Town location just north of downtown Chicago, and we are delighted to welcome this true gem to our property management portfolio,” said Anthony Rossi Jr., president of RMK Management Corp. “Having managed more than our fair share of pristinely preserved and treasured rental buildings over the years, we knew the building’s ownership would find our award-winning five-star management service a perfect match for the discerning residents of The Oliver.”

Rossi added, “RMK is well-versed in the mechanics and maintenance necessary to keep a century-old building running just as smoothly as a new-construction rental tower. Our management and maintenance teams are already busy establishing relationships with the residents at The Oliver and taking care of all their needs.”

The Oliver is near public transportation, including CTA bus routes that run along LaSalle Drive and Division Street, and is only 2 blocks from the Clark & Division CTA Red Line “L” station.

The pet-friendly building features on-site amenities, such as a 24/7 laundry room; 24/7 fitness center with Peloton equipment; bike storage; and Wi-Fi throughout the common areas. Outdoor amenities include an outdoor courtyard; rooftop patio with grilling stations and lounge furniture; and a dog run area.

Residents can choose from two studio floor plans, each plan offers one bath, while one studio has a den. Two one-bedroom designs include one bath. Floor plans feature an open living room, dining area and kitchen, as well as a coat closet, walk-in closet and built-in shelving (per plan).

All apartments include wood and tile flooring as well as ceiling fans. Kitchens have tile backsplash, wood cabinetry, microwaves and gas ranges, while baths feature a combination shower/tub. “The apartments have oversized windows that bring in abundant natural light and allow residents to enjoy the great city views,” noted Rossi.
