Peabody Properties, an affiliate of The Peabody Companies, a group of award-winning property management and real estate firms headquartered in Braintree, Massachusetts, continues to expand its portfolio of managed communities with the addition of Kent Village in Scituate, Massachusetts.
The 64-unit multifamily residential property was developed in the early 1980s by the Planning Office for Urban Affairs (POUA), a nonprofit housing developer affiliated with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston that serves as a catalyst for social justice through its work in housing development and neighborhood revitalization.
“For more than four decades, Kent Village has been an important affordable housing resource in the Scituate community thanks to development and administration by the Planning Office for Urban Affairs,” said Adam Kenney, executive vice president of operations at the Peabody Companies.
“We are pleased that our ongoing relationship with POUA has resulted in our taking management of Kent Village and offering the same high quality, affordable housing experience that its residents have come to value,” said Kenney, noting that two of Peabody’s properties in Hanover and Dorchester were developed by POUA as well.
