BWE, a national commercial and multifamily mortgage banking company, announced that it has successfully arranged $308 million to refinance two trophy senior living communities. Dubbed Project New Horizons, the refinancing was secured for The Variel at Woodland Hills in Los Angeles and The 501 at Mattison Estate located in Upper Dublin Township, Ambler, Pennsylvania. The financing was arranged on behalf of a joint venture between Columbia Pacific Advisors, LAMB Properties and Harbert South Bay Partners.
Ryan Stoll, National Director of Seniors Housing and Care at BWE and Taylor Mokris, Senior Vice President of Seniors Housing and Care, arranged the financing through an exclusive competitive process, which generated unprecedented interest and industry leading financing terms. The loan was ultimately provided by a large global lender, marking its entry into seniors housing.

Similar to The Variel, The 501 has set a new standard for senior living in the affluent Philadelphia submarket, leveraging a strategic unit mix that includes substantially larger unit sizes and premium finishes.
