
RAF Pacifica Group has completed the renovation of Seaside Commons, a 26-unit multifamily asset located at 1201 N. Vulcan Ave in Encinitas. In addition to the interior and exterior upgrades on the existing structure, RPG also built two Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) at the property. The complex features a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments.
Every existing unit in the building underwent a comprehensive renovation, with interiors stripped down to the studs and subflooring. The remodeling project included new flooring, countertops, and the updating of kitchens and bathrooms. The kitchens now feature high-quality stainless-steel appliances, including dishwashers and French door-style refrigerators. The on-site amenities now include a communal laundry room, an outdoor patio, and a barbecue area. Every three-bedroom unit contains its own washer and dryer. RPG also installed solar panels to improve energy efficiency within the building’s common areas.
The renovation also included the addition of two new construction Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) to the property. The ADUs were constructed under California State Law and Encinitas Local Ordinances. Since 2018, local ADU building and permitting requirements have been amended to align with state law, allowing for an increase in housing density and enhancing housing affordability throughout California.
Seaside Commons is located a short walk from Leucadia State Beach, just east of Highway 101. The property is just a five-minute drive from the famous Grandview Surf Beach, Encinitas Ranch Golf Course, and the San Diego Botanic Gardens.
