JLL Capital Markets announced that it has hired Bret Thompson as a Senior Director in its Washington, D.C. office. Thompson will co-lead the multihousing investment sales and advisory practice alongside Senior Director Robert Jenkins.
Thompson has more than 11 years of commercial real estate experience and joins JLL from a national commercial real estate firm where he was a Senior Vice President focused on multifamily investment sales and equity capitalizations of properties and portfolios in the Mid-Atlantic. Prior to that, he spent five years as an Associate Director at HFF, which was later acquired by JLL in 2019. He is an active member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and is a graduate of Duke University, where he was also a member of the Duke University NCAA Division I Lacrosse team.
“Multihousing continues to be a very active and appealing property type for investors,” said Jamie Leachman, Senior Managing Director and co-head of JLL’s Capital Markets team in Washington, D.C. “We are really excited to have Bret back on our team and look forward to the contributions Bret and Robert will make to grow JLL’s market share in the D.C. metro.”
