Denholtz Properties, a leading commercial real estate investment and development company, announces the hiring of Derek Janney as Multifamily Regional Manager for their southeastern multifamily portfolio. The addition of Janney strengthens Denholtz Properties’ significant in-house property management capabilities as it continues to grow its southeastern multifamily portfolio.
Janney brings 10 years of experience in proactive community management to his new role with Denholtz Properties. As Multifamily Regional Manager, Janney will leverage his experience to streamline property management operations to more efficiently onboard and lease-up new acquisitions across the company’s southeastern multifamily portfolio.
Previously, Janney served as a Senior Property Manager for Greystar, a global leader in the investment, development, and management of real estate, where he oversaw a portfolio of 1,800 units and successfully leased-up multiple properties within his portfolio while achieving 92 percent occupancy or higher across all properties he managed. Throughout his career, Janney also worked with RWK Residential and PRG Real Estate in property management positions.

In 2022, Denholtz Properties continued to expand its southeastern portfolio with the acquisition of Overall Creek, a 384-unit, Class-A multifamily community located at 5150 Jack Byrnes Drive in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Located less than 30 minutes from Downtown Nashville in the heart of Rutherford County, Overall Creek is among the dynamic region’s premier residential communities and features a full luxury amenity package to align with the expectations of today’s residents.
Aiming to further bolster its multifamily team, Denholtz Properties also recently tapped Jehna Kubichek to serve as a Regional Residential Support Coordinator. With nearly 15 years of experience in property management and a proven history of implementing strategies to overcome operational challenges, Kubichek will ensure proper support, coordination, training for new team members, onboarding of new properties and auditing across Denholtz Properties’ multifamily properties and will act as a liaison between Denholtz Properties, on-site property managers, and residents in all lease compliance-related issues.
