The NRP Group, a vertically integrated, best-in-class developer, builder, and manager of multifamily housing, announced the hire of Patrick Carino as Vice President of Development.
“Patrick’s arrival reaffirms NRP’s commitment to excellence in the dynamic real estate landscape of the Northeast,” said Jonathan Gertman, Senior Vice President of Development. “His talent will amplify our impact, expanding NRP’s capacity to grow in the region while upholding our mission to create exceptional rental housing communities for individuals and families, regardless of income.”
Within the Northeast market, Carino is dedicated to developing market-rate communities that stand out from the rest. Carino demonstrates a keen understanding of the contemporary renter’s requirements by pinpointing optimal site locations and integrating industry-leading amenities such as private offices and coworking spaces tailored for remote professionals, along with enriched outdoor spaces like courtyards and walking paths. His commitment is centered on delivering housing options that consistently align with and exceed these evolving demands.
“I am excited to join the NRP team and bring my passion for creating multifamily housing to a company celebrated for its expansive, high-caliber portfolio,” said Carino. “I’m confident that we can continue building upon the impressive pipeline NRP has created in the region.”
Prior to joining NRP, Carino oversaw acquisitions and development at RMS companies where he helped spearhead the expansion of RMS into the Westchester, Northern New Jersey, and suburban Boston markets. Carino received a Finance degree with a concentration in Real Estate and Urban Economics from the University of Connecticut where he also minored in Environmental Economics and Policy. He is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Connecticut. In April 2024, Carino will earn the “Rising Star” distinction at the ULI NNJ 2024 Excellence Awards.
Over the last several years, NRP has built a robust portfolio of market-rate and affordable housing properties across the Northeast, including The Halden in White Plains, NY; 722 Chancellor in Irvington, NJ; and Grayson Lofts in Wakefield, MA. High-impact projects currently under construction include Port Liberte in Jersey City, NJ; Reserve at Saratoga Springs in Saratoga Springs, NY; and Renaissance at Lincoln Park, in New Rochelle, NY.
