Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a division of Marcus & Millichap, announced that Kent Myers has joined IPA as a director in Austin, Texas. In this role, he will continue to execute multifamily investment property transactions on behalf of institutional and major private clients in partnership with IPA’s Texas-based team, led by Will Balthrope.

“Kent has been collaborating with Jordan Featherston and our team in support of the interests of multifamily investors in Austin for the last several years and I’m very pleased to formally welcome him to IPA,” said Balthrope. “One of the signature benefits for investors pursuing apartment property investment opportunities in Texas is IPA’s unique ability to provide advisory, acquisition and disposition services with a single team of investment professionals. I look forward to continuing to work with Kent in Austin as we extend the benefits of IPA’s unique platform to even more investors in Central Texas.”

Myers has 15 years of Texas-based commercial real estate experience. Since 2006, he has closed the sale of 17,500 units throughout Texas and participated in note sales and distressed debt workout opportunities. Myers began his career with Marcus & Millichap in 2008 and was promoted to senior vice president investments in 2018.

“One of the firm’s top producers in Texas, Kent consistently ranks among Marcus & Millichap’s most successful agents, and he will continue to be an important part of the firm’s dominant presence in Austin and throughout Central Texas,” added Bruce Bentley III, regional manager. “In the first quarter of 2021 alone, Kent and IPA’s Texas-based team completed three of the top nine multifamily sales in Austin.”
