Baker Development Corporation has announced the start of pre-leasing at ELEVATE Lincoln Park, an 11-story mixed-use development that will bring 191 luxury apartments and 16,000 square feet of street-level retail to the heart of Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. Located at 930 W. Altgeld St., ELEVATE offers residents an experience inspired by the style and service of an upscale hotel. Luxury Living Chicago Realty is serving as the exclusive leasing brokerage for the community, which is welcoming its first residents this month. It is the first new-construction rental development built in the immediate area in nearly three decades.
“Chicago’s best neighborhood just got better,” said Dan Slack, principal of Baker Development Corporation. “Meticulous planning has gone into every detail of the building to deliver a truly exceptional residential experience – one that brings the Gold Coast-type exclusivity to the epicenter of this vibrant neighborhood with condo-quality floor plans and finishes, and five-star amenities that are unparalleled in this location. Pre-leasing has been strong, and we look forward to continuing that momentum in the spring.”
Located next to the newly renovated Apollo Theater, the Solomon Cordwell Buenz-designed building will include a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments in 66 different layouts. Residences range from 464 to 1,430 square feet, with studios starting at $1,795. All two-bedrooms include two baths, and many three-bedrooms have 2½ baths.
Three model units – a studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom – showcase the condo-quality finishes in each unit, including floor-to-ceiling windows; wide-plank flooring; and modern kitchens with 42-inch European cabinetry, 1¼-inch quartz countertops – some with waterfall edges – and KitchenAid Pro Line stainless steel appliances. Grohe fixtures accent kitchens and baths, which also feature glass-enclosed, terrazzo-base showers. Custom closet systems and solar shades are included in all bedrooms. Residences also include in-unit laundry, and most plans feature private balconies. In-unit tech features include 1-gigabit internet service, USB outlets and a smartphone-enabled unit entry/locking system.
ELEVATE Lincoln Park boasts 13 single-level penthouses on the 10th floor and three duplex penthouse units occupying the 10th and 11thfloors, all showcasing striking skyline views through expansive windows and private terraces. These two- and three-bedroom residences, which range from 1,481 to 2,536 square feet, are upgraded with 10-foot ceilings and recessed lighting throughout; premium finishes such as white Italian high-gloss cabinetry and Calacatta quartz countertops; and larger master suites. The three-bedroom duplex penthouses also feature floating glass stairways, fully integrated Thermador appliances, three-sided open fireplaces and private elevators that serve both levels. All penthouse residents will be served by express elevator service that leads directly to the lobby/parking garage. Rents start at $6,495 for the single-level penthouse residences and $13,995 for the multi-level plans.
“As Lincoln Park’s first Class A apartment building, ELEVATE has been a widely anticipated addition to the neighborhood, drawing interest from people who already live here and others who are looking to relocate,” said Aaron Galvin, founder and CEO of Luxury Living Chicago Realty. “The closer the building gets to completion, the more inquiries we receive, so we expect the units to fill up quickly.”
The nearly 20,000 square feet of amenity space at ELEVATE includes two outdoor terraces with lounge seating, grills and fire pits – one on the third level and one on the rooftop, which also features a plunge pool. The adjacent 24-hour fitness center features Life Fitness equipment, a yoga room with Fitness On Demand programming, and a dedicated rooftop wellness area offering unfettered views of the skyline – ideal for a sunrise yoga session or cycling workout on stationary bikes that can be rolled out from indoors. Also located on the penthouse level is a party room and demonstration kitchen, workstations and a conference room, and seating areas with multiple large-screen TVs.
“With the city at their doorstep, residents will find just about everything else they need inside ELEVATE Lincoln Park,” said Slack. “From the personalized service of our 24-hour concierge to our no-wait fitness center, our amenities bring a hotel-like experience to apartment living in this neighborhood.”
ELEVATE will also offer a first-floor coffee/juice/water bar, third-floor dog run and pet-washing station, Pressbox dry cleaning service, high-tech automated package receiving service from Amazon, Zipcar rental service and private garage parking.
In addition, residents of ELEVATE will enjoy convenient access to the numerous shopping, dining and entertainment options within blocks of their home, including the Biograph Theater and Lincoln Park. The DePaul University campus and CTA Fullerton station are also just a few blocks south of the building.
