Cushman & Wakefield announced that the commercial real estate services firm has arranged the sale of Reign Living at the Stadium, a 126-unit, 504-bed student housing apartment community located in Columbia, South Carolina, adjacent to the University of South Carolina’s Williams-Brice football stadium.
Travis Prince, Shawn Lubic and Victoria Marks of Cushman & Wakefield’s Student Housing Capital Markets Group, along with Cushman & Wakefield’s Sunbelt Advisory Group, represented the seller, Reign Living, an affiliate of Reger Holdings, in the transaction. Preiss Co., one of the Top 10 providers of off-campus housing in the nation, acquired the property.
“The property completed construction in fall 2020 and delivered at 99 percent occupancy, following the initial success with a year two prelease of 99 percent for fall 2021 by December 2020,” Prince said. “Reign is situated in a highly desirable location adjacent to Williams-Brice Stadium and is one of the closest townhome communities to USC’s campus. This is a Class A investment with the latest amenities in the thriving University of South Carolina market.”
Located at 1105 Shop Road, the property includes 126 units. Amenities include a lazy river with a fire pit, outdoor kitchen with grilling stations, a volleyball court, a resort-style sundeck, private shuttle to campus, a lounge and bicycle storage.
