Timberland Partners has announced leasing has begun at Green on 4th, aka ‘G4’, the much-anticipated apartment building located in the Prospect Park neighborhood in Minneapolis. Green on 4th features 243 contemporary studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, located just steps away from the METRO Green Line Light Rail along the U of M Transitway.
The large-scale transformation that was contemplated for Prospect Park, and particularly within the Towerside Innovation District, when we first announced plans for the project in 2016 is now underway. We are excited to be a part of it and with how G4 will complement what is already one of the most unique neighborhoods in the city,” said Ryan Sailer, Vice President of Development with Timberland Partners.
G4 residents will be treated to a rooftop patio with sweeping views of downtown, a dog run, dog spa, landscaped courtyard with grilling stations, bike storage and repair stations, automated package center and heated underground parking. A two-story community space will include a coffee bar, resident lounge, and game room. It will also contain a fitness center with the latest cardio, strength, and CrossFit equipment, in addition to a fully-outfitted yoga/flex workout studio.
As part of the project, public green spaces have been preserved as part of the reconstruction of “Green Fourth Street”. Once complete, Fourth Street will incorporate an innovative design that includes sidewalk furniture, bike lanes, decorative pedestrian lighting and non-native plant vegetation in an attempt to connect G4 and all other new development to the public in an inviting and interactive way.
G4 apartments are designed with diverse layouts, featuring modern, stylish fixtures and features in each unit. Kitchens are equipped with high-end stainless steel and energy-efficient appliances, and quartz countertops. Designer lighting, luxury wood plank flooring, walk-in closets, and full-size washers and dryers round out the modern amenities. Select units offer private entrances and patios or balconies.
Residents also receive access to the services and amenities available in the Prospect Park neighborhood, including Fresh Thyme Market just across the street and Surly Brewing Co. only a block away.
The $53.8 million, 243-unit project is a joint venture between Minneapolis-based developers Timberland Partners and Prospect Park Properties. The project was designed by Tushie Montgomery Architects and is being constructed by Frana Companies, both based in Minneapolis.
G4 is located at 2949 4th Street Southeast in Minneapolis and will be ready for occupancy in late June 2019.
